“Green Project” homes are communities of 7-10 elders in a private house. Since 2003, 153 Green Homes have been developed and 120 more homes are under development for future use. The Green House Model is different from other assisted-living communities in that residents are considered the “bosses,” instead of having to adhere to a structured schedule of a traditional geriatric living facility. Residents have proven to show improvement in health and over-all well-being when placed in a more non-conventional setting.
